Turn food scraps and yard waste into nutrient-rich compost for your garden.

What You Need: A plastic bin or old wooden box, a drill for air holes, and organic waste.

How to Use: Layer green (kitchen scraps) and brown (dry leaves or shredded paper) waste, and turn the pile regularly.

2. DIY Compost Bin

What You Need:

• A plastic storage bin with a lid or wooden crate (Plastic Bin)

• Drill

• Organic waste (fruit/vegetable scraps, yard clippings, etc.)

• Brown material (dry leaves, shredded paper, etc.)

Steps:

1. Drill small holes on all sides of the bin (including the bottom and lid) for airflow.

2. Layer the bottom of the bin with brown material to absorb moisture.

3. Add food scraps and alternate layers of green (wet) and brown (dry) materials.

4. Mix the compost every 1–2 weeks to aerate it.

5. Keep the compost slightly damp (like a wrung-out sponge).
